Repeaters
Repeaters extend the range of the AMR network to provide full coverage to large and expansive sites. Most popular is our line-powered Repeater, but Tehama also offers an innovative solar-powered repeater kit that is easy to install and don’t require power.
The Solar kit comes with our third generation repeater, solar panel, lithium iron phosphate battery, charge controller, UV resistant outdoor enclosure, and pole mounting hardware.

Repeater
Standard/MAX Range
Description
The updated Tehama Wireless Diversity Repeater extends the range of the AMR network by implementing a redundant mesh network to transport remote MDT data to the DCAP. Many repeaters can be used to fully cover the largest sites. As with the MDT, two way communication guarantees successful transmissions of data toward the DCAP.
Features
- Available in Standard Range and new MAX Range models
- Diversity Antennas for optimal performance
- Improved sensitivity compared to our prior Repeater
- Diversity plus Sensitivity eExtends range of MDTs and other Repeaters by up to 50%
- Multi-Color Status LED indicates Link Quality
- Over 2 mile open field range*
- Implements a redundant mesh network for reliable communication
- FCC certified for US, IC certified for Canada
Solar Repeater Kit
Solar Repeater Kit
Standard/MAX Range
Description
The kit comes with our third generation repeater, solar panel, lithium iron phosphate battery, charge controller, UV resistant outdoor enclosure, and pole mounting hardware. It can also be mounted to a wall or other Unistrut structures.
Features
- Combining this with our Submersible MDT makes a perfect combination for use at mobile/manufactured home communities
- Long Life Lithium Iron Phosphate battery
- Excellent for larger spread-out sites that lack power supplies for repeaters
- Easily add a repeater to a site without the need of an electrician
Data Concentrating Access Points (DCAPs)
Now with Cellular Options!
The DCAP manages the Tehama AMR Network, capturing and storing data from all your meters via the MDTs. Using the DCAP's Internet, WiFi, or Cellular link, you will automatically receive Meter data every day by email, FTP, or you can pull via an API call.
DCAP
DCAP
Standard/MAX Range
Description
The DCAP is at the heart of the Tehama Wireless AMR system. The DCAP incorporates a powerful embedded computer and comprehensive database, along with an integrated radio transceiver to communicate with each and every meter node.
The database stores all site information so everything about the property is contained in one central location. In operation, the DCAP collects and stores meter readings from the various MDTs in the network, with historical data available instantly for over a year at most property sizes. Our CIT software provides an easy user interface for configuring the DCAP and monitoring each unit, including including setting alarm thresholds which trigger automatic email alerts sent from the DCAP when alarm conditions are detected.
Features
- Compact design with integrated radio transceiver unit with +28.5dBm output for long RF range
- Remote Access feature allows communication with DCAP when it is installed behind a firewall
- Reading data automatically sent daily from DCAP via email or to an (s)FTP site
- Database storage for over 4 million data points (nearly six months storage for 250 meters with our 15 minute ToU MDTs)
- 10/100M Ethernet or WiFi for easy access to data over the internet. Optional cellular service available if no Internet is available
- Integrated clock with alarm monitoring and configurable email alerts
- USB port for initial device setup (DCAP Passwords, WiFi credentials, and Static IP configuration). Requires programming cable.
- FCC certified for US, IC certified for Canada
TFA DCAP
TFA DCAP
Description
The DCAP-TFA builds upon the proven Diversity DCAP platform by adding the ability to integrate data from Inovonics® based FA systems. In addition to receiving Tehama data from the integrated radio, the DCAP-TFA connects to an FA type submetering receiver and stores data from both networks simultaneously.
Features
- Easy migration path for older sites using obsolete FA technology without removal or replacement of the entire AMR system at the property
- A file import function to easily transfer site configuration data to the DCAP-TFA
- Daily reports can be received by email or FTP
- Historical hourly data from FA PMTs can be reviewed just like is always available from Tehama MDTs
- Standard Tehama DCAP features
Solar DCAP Kit
Solar DCAP Kit
MAX Range
Description
The kit comes with our third generation Cellular DCAP, solar panel, lithium iron phosphate battery, charge controller, UV resistant outdoor enclosure, and pole mounting hardware. It can also be mounted to a wall or other Unistrut structures.
Features
- Combining this with our Submersible MDT and Solar Repeaters makes a perfect combination for use at mobile/manufactured housing communities
- Long life Lithium Iron Phosphate battery
- Battery sized to keep DCAP operating through seven+ days without Sun
- Excellent for larger spread-out sites that lack power or Internet
The Configuration, Installation & Troubleshooting tool provides an easy way to configure the DCAP with site information and associations between the meters and wireless equipment. During installation, the software monitors the network to verify each and every MDT is installed and functional. Built-in troubleshooting tools identify potential problems in the network and provide detailed remediation instructions.
Through full access to the company Cloud Site list, the Mobile App provides everything that the field technician needs to not only update meter data like IMR, Count Factor, and Location, but also perform bucket test to ensure meter and AMR operation.
The Web App makes it easy for billing companies to make an API call to pull reads, and usage and configuration data is saved in the cloud. The DCAP stores all data locally as a backup.
