DCAP

Inovonics® FA to Tehama Migration

Standard and MAX Range Systems

Product Overview

The Tehama Wireless builds upon the proven Diversity DCAP platform by adding the ability to integrate data from Inovonics® based FA systems. In addition to receiving Tehama data from the integrated radio, the DCAP- TFA connects to an FA type submetering receiver and stores data from both networks simultaneously.

Intended to provide an easy migration path for older sites using obsolete FA technology, the DCAP-TFA allows you to overlay Tehama repeaters over the property and replace FA PMTs with Tehama MDTs as needed. No need to remove and replace the entire AMR system at the property.

The site is commissioned as easy as a standard Tehama system by importing PMT to meter assignments using our CIT software or Web App. Daily reports can be pushed via email or FTP in the standard CSV format, or optionally in the old .OUT format, or use our API to pull your data. Using the CIT, historical hourly data from FA PMTs can be reviewed just like is always available from Tehama MDTs.

Connection Instructions for DCAP-TFA

The DCAP-TFA connects to a standard Inovonics® FA-403 submetering receiver using the supplied TW-ASSY-J56 cable. This cable supplies power to the receiver along with the communication signals.

DB9 Connector Signals

The connector assembly consists of a two-foot-long twisted cable assembly with four conductors, green, red, black, and white. The pre-stripped and tined wires are to be connected to the screw terminal in the submetering receiver unit as follows:
